Naples – A night of violence in Secondigliano, where Carabinieri from the local station arrested a 38-year-old local man on charges of domestic violence. The officers responded to a call for help from 112 and found a tense scene inside the home, with screams and traces of blood.
The attack: two brothers were hit
According to the reconstruction, the man first beat his younger brother, a 20-year-old, before attacking his other brother, a 40-year-old. The latter was the worst offender: during the fight, he was stabbed in the thigh with a kitchen knife.
Rescue efforts and military intervention
While 118 personnel headed to the scene to provide first aid to the injured, the Carabinieri detained the 38-year-old, avoiding further consequences, and began investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events.
Repeated abuse of parents as well
Initial investigations have revealed that the violent incidents were not isolated. The abuse, in fact, continued over time, not only against the siblings, but also against the parents. It cannot be ruled out that drug addiction may be the cause of the escalation of violence.
The 38-year-old was arrested and transferred to prison. The two attacked brothers were treated and released with prognosis of four and six days, respectively.
