Afragola – A normal homecoming turned into a nightmare for a 17-year-old from Afragola. Last night, around 12:50 a.m., the city was rocked by a new episode of youth violence involving gangs of minors and the use of knives.

The street attack

It all happened on Via Pietro Nenni. According to an initial reconstruction by Carabinieri officers from the mobile radio unit and the Afragola station, who promptly responded to the scene, the victim was riding his scooter when he was approached and then chased by a group of peers, also on scooters. During the mad chase, one of the attackers reportedly struck the 17-year-old in the right thigh.

The call for help was made immediately. The boy, in shock but conscious, was rushed to the Frattamaggiore hospital. Fortunately, his condition is not serious and his life is not in danger. Doctors diagnosed him with a cut wound that will heal in a few days.

The investigations

The Carabinieri are currently investigating the incident, acquiring footage from local video surveillance systems and interviewing any witnesses to identify the members of the baby gang and reconstruct the exact dynamics and, above all, the motive for the attack.

This is worrying news, but I can honestly say that things seem very serious. The kids are roaming around in packs and don't know what they're doing. The victim was injured, but fortunately, it's not serious. The police should be able to clarify everything, and the cameras will be helpful. I hope the boy recovers soon and the situation will be safer.
