The daughter of Luigi Marchesani, 40, from Agropoli, had reported her father missing six days ago. Concerned by the prolonged silence and the inability to contact him by phone, she alerted the police.
The search plan was launched immediately, coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company with the support of the Municipal Police and Civil Protection volunteers.
The first investigations on the San Marco hill
The operations focused on San Marco Hill, on Via Pirandello, near the statue of Saint Francis. There, the Ape Car used by Marchesani was found. The rugged terrain, with thick vegetation, uneven terrain, and steep sections, complicated the investigation. A drone was deployed to survey the most difficult areas, but no significant traces were found. The Ape was removed by a tow truck.
The sighting and final tracking in Salerno
In recent days, Marchesani was spotted in Salerno, shifting the focus of the search there. He was checked by the police on Saturday, but after the investigation, he disappeared again. The investigation continued unabated until he was located in the last few hours, which brought the case to a happy conclusion.
The family and the community of Agropoli are breathing a sigh of relief after days of apprehension. The reason for the man's departure and his movements remain unclear; investigations are ongoing.

I'm worried about these things too. People should be more careful and not leave without letting anyone know, especially if there are people who care about them.
The situation seems a bit complicated to me, and I hope it can be clarified very soon. It's strange that someone could disappear for so long without any news. We'll wait for further updates.
