The Teatro Totò's subscription season continues with a bang, welcoming the new comedy from Rosario Minervini and Ciro Esposito, La cicogna del vicino, from Friday, February 20th to Sunday, February 22nd. Two performances are scheduled for Saturday (5:30 pm and 9:00 pm), while the Sunday performance will be at 6:00 pm.
The show presents itself as a lively and lively theatrical device, built on a whirlwind of misunderstandings in which laughter becomes a magnifying glass of domestic fragilities and the cracks that run through every cohabitation, whether marital or family.
Fast pace and unexpected revelations
On the stage of the Via Cavara venue—led with artistic sensitivity by Gaetano Liguori—Esposito's direction orchestrates a fast, almost musical pace, alternating comic tempos with sudden emotional revelations. Alongside the two protagonists, Francesca Romana Bergamo, Valeria Frallicciardi, and Carlo Crispo bring the stage to life.
The actors bring to life the grotesque story of Ciro Maresca and Filomena, a seemingly irreproachable couple: he, a celebrated philanthropist, and she, a rising psychotherapist. Their almost choreographic balance is destined to be shattered by the arrival of their neighbor Arturo Sarnataro and his sister Assunta.
When normality derails
The two unpredictable presences transform everyday life into a carousel of comical incidents, involuntary confessions, and questions too long unspoken. The result is a brilliant and poignant comedy, capable of entertaining but also of instilling in the viewer the suspicion that behind every domestic perfection lies a crack waiting to be revealed under the pressure of chance.
The neighbor's stork thus announces itself as a theatrical machine that promises lightness and delivers, in filigree, an ironic and subtly bitter portrait of private illusions.

I read the article about the show "The Neighbor's Stork" and it seems very interesting, but I'm not sure I'll be able to go. The themes of misunderstanding and fragility in the family are ever-present and could give rise to reflection.
