Napoli – A 35-year-old man was jailed for domestic violence and aggravated assault after a fight at home during the match. The 40-year-old man was admitted to Ospedale del Mare, where his life is not in danger.
Swear words for rigor and misunderstanding
An afternoon of football in front of the TV allegedly degenerated into an episode of domestic violence. The Atalanta-Napoli match was underway when the referee denied the Neapolitans a penalty: the 40-year-old husband allegedly reacted with curses and profanities. His wife, a 35-year-old Neapolitan, however, allegedly interpreted the remarks as directed at her.
The threat and the throwing of the scissors
According to the reconstruction, the argument quickly escalated. The woman allegedly threatened her husband, telling him to leave, saying she would stab him otherwise. When he refused, the 35-year-old allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors and threw them at him.
The knives and the call to 112
Immediately afterward, according to the reconstruction, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and attempted to stab her husband in one side and then the other. Wounded and bleeding, the 40-year-old called first 112 and then 118 for help.
The blade in the wall and the intervention of the Carabinieri
The 35-year-old allegedly didn't stop even during the phone call: she allegedly threw more knives. One lodged in the wall, and that's where the Carabinieri from the Capodimonte station found it when they arrived at the home.
The woman was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated assault and taken to prison. She was also charged with carrying offensive objects: in her bag, police reported, three other blades were found, including an oyster opener.
The victim was hospitalized: his condition is not serious
The 40-year-old is still hospitalized at the Ospedale del Mare, but his life is not in danger.
