The victory against Napoli it's much more than three points for theAtalantaIt's confirmation of a growth path that, according to Raffaele Palladino, has changed his team's face and mentality. The Nerazzurri coach, speaking to DAZN after the 2-1 win at the Gewiss Stadium, spoke of a renewed confidence and a group that now truly believes in its own abilities.
"I think the team has achieved a great level of confidence. Three months ago, we lost 3-1 at the Maradona, and from there, a journey began, filled with many matches, many positive performances, and also some difficult moments," says Palladino, who praises the work done week after week. "The team has continued to improve. We're very happy with today's performance and hope it will give us the boost we need for Wednesday as well. We've shown we're there, too, and we want to continue climbing the standings."
The coach then focused on the contributions of the individual players, starting with Lazar Samardzic, who was decisive in turning the game around. "I'm happy with his goal. During the week I asked him to give us a big hand, and today he did a great job filling the penalty area and bringing great energy," Palladino emphasized, praising the midfielder's response.
Finally, it's inevitable to return to the incident that sparked the Azzurri protests: the contact between Hojlund and Hien that led to Napoli's goal being disallowed. Palladino takes a stance without hesitation. "Hien confronted Hojlund one-on-one and was ahead. Then I saw Hojlund holding him with his arm and asked Hien to confirm it. For me, there's nothing to say: there was contact and it's a clear foul," the coach states. "I understand Napoli's position, but I don't see anything here. I don't want to talk about this incident after a good match."

The match was very interesting, but I have to say I disagree with some of the referee's decisions. It's true that Atalanta played well, but Napoli also deserves respect. Despite the disallowed goals, football is always unpredictable, and there are always discussions about incidents.
