Naples – Officers from the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station last night, during a patrol, noticed two men in a suspicious car on Corso Bruno Buozzi. The driver, noticing the police presence, ignored the stop sign and accelerated, sparking a thrilling chase.

Extreme maneuvers and impact against a wall

The fugitive performed high-risk maneuvers, driving the wrong way down Via Serino until crashing into a wall. At that point, he and his passenger abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

Arrest after fight, burglary tools seized

The officers caught up with the 23-year-old and arrested him after a struggle. They found a T-key, an electronic ignition device, and an electronic control unit switch on him. The passenger managed to escape.

The theft just occurred in San Giorgio a Cremano

According to investigations, the car—with a broken ignition key, damaged steering column, and torn electrical wiring—had been stolen shortly before from Piazzetta Bernardo Tanucci in San Giorgio a Cremano. The vehicle has been returned to its owner, while the arrested man is being held by the judicial authorities.
