Naples – The scene unfolded on Via Caldieri, the heart of the Vomero neighborhood, where the Carabinieri of the local Company's Operational Unit had set up a targeted observation service.

The officers, camouflaged among the traffic jam and the city chaos, discreetly monitored the movements of Giuseppe Ciliberti, a 32-year-old from Somma Vesuviana already known to law enforcement. The man was standing next to his Vespa, waiting to close the deal.

The exchange and the intervention of the Carabinieri

The Carabinieri waited only a few minutes, until a young man approached the suspect's scooter. In a fraction of a second, the drugs were exchanged for cash. At that moment, the officers emerged into the open, blocking the two suspects' escape route. Their swift intervention prevented the dealer from disposing of his cargo or attempting an evasive maneuver in traffic.

Seizure of 14 doses of cocaine

During the search, Ciliberti was found in possession of 14 doses of cocaine, already packaged for retail sale, and 30 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illicit activity just documented.

The 32-year-old was arrested on charges of possession and trafficking of narcotics. The buyer, however, was identified and reported to the Prefecture as a drug user.

Investigations are now continuing to track down the pusher's suppliers and his clientele in the Vomero district.

I read the article carefully, but I noticed that it lacks some information on the general drug situation in Naples. Perhaps this would be helpful in better understanding the current situation in the Vomero neighborhood.

I agree with Bparisi; the situation is quite complex and there are many missing details. I also wonder if there have been other arrests related to this case that haven't been reported.

The article mentions a Carabinieri operation, but it's unclear how they learned about Ciliberti and his business. Perhaps there are other investigations that haven't been mentioned. It would be interesting to know more.
