Naples – A morning of severe disruption for motorists traveling on the A1 Rome-Naples highway. A single-vehicle accident involving a truck that skidded at kilometer marker 754 paralyzed the stretch between the Villa Literno-Pomigliano junction and the Capodichino turnoff, heading toward Naples.
There's currently an eight-kilometer tailback, with traffic only managing to flow in one lane. Operations to remove the heavy vehicle are underway, but it could take a long time for traffic to return to normal.
Emergency medical and mechanical services, traffic police patrols, and personnel from the 6th Cassino Branch of Autostrade per l'Italia responded immediately, managing traffic and assisting drivers stuck in traffic.
For those heading to Naples, the motorway company recommends an alternative route: exit at the junction with the support axis, follow the signs for Acerra-Pomigliano, continue on the SS 162 dir., and finally rejoin the A1 following the signs for the Centro Direzionale. Extreme caution is advised and drivers are advised to stay updated via official channels.

It's a very complicated traffic situation, and I don't understand how an accident could cause so much inconvenience. I hope emergency services can resolve everything as soon as possible, but it seems like there's a huge traffic jam.
