Casavatore - Carabinieri from the Casavatore station, with operational support from the Casoria Company's Mobile Radio Section, arrested Salvatore Ferone, a 35-year-old local man, on the night between Monday and Tuesday. Ferone was the subject of a detention order issued by the Attorney General's Office at the Naples Court of Appeal.

The man had been missing since last November, when the final order was issued.

Final conviction for drug trafficking

Ferone, considered a top member of the eponymous clan active in Casavatore and known in criminal circles as "'o Mackay," is serving a ten-year prison sentence for conspiracy to traffic narcotics. The alleged crimes date back to 2011-2012 and concern drug dealing and distribution activities between Casavatore, Arzano, and Naples.

The raid on the house on Corso Europa

The investigation and surveillance, which continued uninterrupted in the 35-year-old's usual locations, allowed the police to track him down in Casavatore. The arrest was made inside his home on Corso Europa, where Carabinieri raided the area during the night.

After the usual formalities, the arrested man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he will serve his final sentence.
