Casavatore – An important result – says Mayor Fabrizio Celaj – which comes after passing through the Commission and which today finds the unanimous vote of the entire Council.
"After years, our city finally has a precise, detailed, and transparent set of regulations that precisely regulate the use of video surveillance systems, in compliance with the law and citizens' privacy."
"Not just cameras," Celaj explained, "but clear rules. Clear installation criteria, image management and storage methods, guarantees to protect citizens' rights, and concrete tools to support law enforcement."
This regulation will also be crucial to more effectively combating environmental crimes, particularly the illegal dumping of waste along our city's streets. This phenomenon damages the environment, urban decorum, and the image of Casavatore, and we can now address it with clearer and more effective regulatory tools.
I thank the city councilors for their sense of responsibility and all those who worked on drafting the regulation.
We continue to build, with seriousness and determination, a safer Casavatore that is in step with the times."
