Casoria – "After nearly two years of slander and media attacks, the judiciary has put an end to their attempts to persecute us. Now Monaco will face justice for his actions.
"The criminal case brought against us by Giuseppe Monaco has been definitively dismissed by the judiciary. This decision is not only a legal victory, but also the reaffirmation of a fundamental principle: truth, in the end, always prevails over hatred and lies."
"For two long years," Casillo stated, "we, our family, and our closest friends have been the target of a harassing media campaign orchestrated by Mr. Monaco and based on slander, infamy, and deplorable defamation. These are completely unfounded accusations, created with the sole purpose of discrediting us and our work. Strengthened by our integrity, we have responded to these vile attacks in the appropriate forums, with our usual composure and firmness.
We reported Giuseppe Monaco for his actions and the judiciary sent him to trial, and he will now have to answer for his crimes before a court.
The dismissal of the case against us comes after two years of intense investigation by the Prosecutor's Office, which demonstrated that Monaco's allegations were his own defamatory and slanderous fabrications.
This chapter has closed, but our fight for justice continues. We now announce that we will proceed with civil action for compensation for all moral and material damages suffered. In keeping with the values that have always guided us, the entire amount we receive in compensation will be donated to charity.
We want our story to be a message of hope for all good people who suffer injustice: never give up. When you have a clear conscience and a firm belief in legality and justice, truth triumphs.
We thank our lawyers for their excellent work and all the people who, during these difficult years, never doubted our honesty and showed us their support."

The article I read about the Monaco and Casillo situation seems interesting but also complicated. Truth is a difficult concept to define in certain cases, especially when such serious accusations are involved. Let's hope justice is served.
