According to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Public Prosecutor's Office, officers from the Caserta Nord Highway Police Subsection stopped an Audi A4 that was traveling at high speed in the overtaking lane.

Upon seeing the patrol, the driver apparently slowed down abruptly, a behavior that aroused the officers' suspicions, which was then reinforced by the nervousness he displayed during the checks and his previous police record.

The discovery under the seats

A search of the person and vehicle led to the discovery of a black bag containing two heat-sealed blocks of ice under the front passenger seat and a third block of ice under the driver's seat.

The total quantity seized was 3,356 kg gross of a white powdery substance, which later tested positive for cocaine following a technical examination by the Forensic Police in Caserta.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to sell and, by order of the public prosecutor on duty, transferred to prison.

During the validation hearing, the investigating judge ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest against him.

It seems like a complex situation to me. The police stopped an Audi at high speed, but the facts should be brought to justice. Let's hope the truth comes out and justice takes its course without mistakes or abuse.
