Palermo – An evening of neomelodic music transformed into an indirect "tribute" to the local clans. This is the scenario painted by the Palermo Police Headquarters, which led to the 30-day closure of the Snai Bingo hall on Via Messina Marine, in the Sperone district, and the forced removal from the city of Antonio Ilardo, aka Anthony.

The events date back to January 14th, when the venue was transformed into a full-fledged auditorium without any authorization for public entertainment. Among the amplified speakers and a crowd of fans, what caught investigators' attention wasn't just the administrative irregularity, but especially the composition of the audience.

In the front row, enjoying the performance, sat Giuseppe Caserta and Claudio D'Amore, names well-known in the judicial news and believed to be associated with local mafia families.

Between clan hymns and drug investigations: the profile of the neomelodic singer

According to the authorities, the presence of organized crime figures cannot be dismissed as mere "passive eavesdropping," but represents a critical signal for public safety. Ilardo's position, moreover, has long been under scrutiny. The singer, already known for his statements on Non è l'Arena, where he defined the Camorra as "a lifestyle choice to be respected," boasts family ties and connections that gravitate toward the San Giovanni a Teduccio clans.

The artist's curriculum is marked by controversial episodes:

Criminal record: In 2022, his name emerged in an investigation into cocaine trafficking run by the Milanese Cursoti clan.

Criminal symbolism: He was recently spotted at the Festa dei Gigli in Barra singing alongside a scion of the Aprea clan, in what investigators believe to be a ritual celebrating the alliances between the clans of East Naples.

In addition to temporarily closing the Bingo for license abuse, the Police Commissioner has issued Anthony a mandatory expulsion order: for the next two years, the artist will not be able to set foot in the Sicilian capital again.

The article talks about the closure of the Bingo and the expulsion order for the singer. The matter seems serious but it should be verified carefully. The evidence is not always clear. The presence of known people alone should not conclude guilt. A more in-depth investigation is needed.
