A fire broke out at dawn this morning along Corso Secondigliano in Naples, affecting two adjacent businesses: the Benvenuti al Sud pizzeria and a tire repair shop located next door.
The first reports to the firefighters arrived between 4:40 and 6:00 am, when a thick column of smoke, visible from a distance, began to rise from the structures.
The intervention of the firefighters
Six firefighting teams responded to the scene, supported by reinforcements from the Caserta detachment, using fire engines and special equipment. The firefighting operations continued for several hours due to the flames spreading between the two commercial premises.
A building was evacuated, no injuries were reported.
As a precaution, a residential building adjacent to the fire was temporarily evacuated due to smoke and structural risks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but only extensive damage was reported to the structures involved.
Situation under control
After hours of work, the fire was completely extinguished. The firefighters declared the situation under control, and they began safety operations and subsequent investigations to determine the cause of the blaze, which is currently under evaluation.

I read about the fire that broke out in Naples, and it honestly worried me. It's a bit strange for something to happen so close to home. I hope people were evacuated in time and there were no injuries.
