Naples – The long-awaited white smoke has arrived for the long-term unemployed movement in Naples. After months of mobilizations and intense institutional dialogue, the bureaucratic puzzle for launching the employment project seems to have finally reached its final piece.
Confirmation came directly from the Piazza Municipio offices, which outlined the next operational steps for the inclusion of the audience.
The summit at the Prefecture and the Municipality's commitment
The path was laid out last February 12th during a key technical meeting held at the Prefecture. At that meeting, the progress of the "Long-Term Unemployed in Naples" project was analyzed.
Today, the Department of Labor of the City of Naples reaffirmed the agency's full operational readiness: the procedures for awarding all necessary preparatory activities have been officially activated. These are no longer just formal commitments, but the concrete initiation of the technical steps required to unlock internships.
Training to start by February
The first hurdle to overcome concerns safety. According to what we've learned, the municipal administration has committed to preparing a complete schedule for mandatory workplace safety training by the end of February.
This phase will represent the "starting line" for the entire group involved: only after completing this training module will beneficiaries be able to actually access the internship programs provided for by the plan. This represents a breath of fresh air for hundreds of families who, after a long wait, now see a firm date on the calendar.
