Encouraging signs are coming from San Pio Hospital in Benevento regarding the condition of Giulia De Luca, the 46-year-old woman seriously wounded by gunfire from her husband in Paduli. She remains hospitalized in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, but her clinical condition shows slight improvement compared to the hours immediately following the attack.

The medical bulletin released by the healthcare facility states that "the patient is awake and breathing spontaneously on room air." This is considered positive by the health workers, who also note that the woman is "hemodynamically stable and has no other organ failure."

However, the situation related to the injuries remains delicate. "The serious penetrating injury to the left arm appears to be progressing normally, the drains are leaking moderately, and the skin is warm and pink," the doctors explain, while emphasizing the presence of "a severe motor deficit related to the traumatic injury to the brachial plexus."

To further investigate the condition of the limb, the patient will undergo a color Doppler ultrasound scan in the next few hours, which will assess blood flow. A further visit to the operating room is not excluded: "We are evaluating a possible new surgical procedure to remove the foreign bodies still lodged in the abdominal wall."

Despite signs of stability, doctors remain extremely cautious. "The prognosis remains guarded," the bulletin concludes, while the woman continues her battle in the hospital after the violent attack that shocked the Sannio community.
