Ercolano - A revealing meeting turned into an attempted murder. This is the investigative hypothesis that led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Neapolitan woman, currently residing in Lodi, accused of brutally stabbing a female peer in Ercolano. The house arrest warrant, with the use of an electronic bracelet, was executed today by the Carabinieri of the Lodi station in collaboration with the Ercolano station, at the direction of the Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) of the Court of Naples.

The ambush in the parking lot

The investigation, coordinated by the IV "Vulnerable Groups" section of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, has reconstructed a disturbing picture. The events date back to August 5, 2025. On that day, according to investigators' reconstruction, the suspect had arranged to meet the victim in a parking lot in Ercolano to discuss "personal matters."

The encounter immediately turned violent: the 25-year-old allegedly first attacked her peer with punches, then pulled out a large kitchen knife and stabbed her repeatedly.

The near-fatal wounds

The Carabinieri of Ercolano responded quickly: they found the victim lying on the ground in a pool of blood, seriously injured. At least two blows struck her in the left side and buttock, causing injuries so severe that they were life-threatening. The timely rescue and subsequent hospitalization prevented further damage.

The motive of passion and the investigations

Investigators, arriving on the scene, immediately began their investigation, successfully recovering and seizing the murder weapon. Through the acquisition of witness statements and careful cross-checking, the Carabinieri were able to reconstruct not only the exact sequence of events of the brutal attack, but also the motive that unleashed the 25-year-old's fury: jealousy. A passion-based motive that armed the attacker, driving her to attempt to kill her rival.
