Fans' concerns had grown in recent days, when images posted on social media showed him lying on a hospital bed. Now comes Fabrizio Corona's firsthand account, explaining what's happening during a talk on the radio show "Nzistology," broadcast on Radio Marte and hosted by Fabio Brescia.
The former celebrity photographer has spoken openly about a physical condition that is putting him to the test, after weeks marked by medical checks and several hospitalizations.
Hospitalizations and still uncertain diagnosis
During the interview, Corona admitted that he was experiencing a completely different time than in the past, when he had always described himself as a resilient and almost invincible person.
"I've often said I'm immortal, but I might take that back now," he explained. "I've never been sick in my life, and yet I've been sick for two months. I've had a terrible illness for a month, and I'm not getting better. I've been hospitalized several times, I've had every test imaginable. I had a virus, now I have this illness, and they can't cure it."
These words paint a picture of a clinical journey still lacking definitive answers. Corona emphasized, above all, the psychological difficulty of dealing with the disease, a condition he had never experienced before.
“For me, who am not used to living with the disease, it is a huge effort,” he added.
“The doctors ask me to stop, but I can't.”
According to reports, doctors recommended a complete layoff of at least ten days to aid his recovery. However, the entrepreneur and television personality is having a hard time accepting it.
In his speech, he also made a sports comparison, recalling how—according to a director friend who works for Netflix—great champions know how to stop when necessary, as happens to Cristiano Ronaldo after an injury.
"But I can't afford it," he explained. "Now every day is worth gold to me. I'm fighting the most important battle of my life. I won't stay in bed disconnected from the world."
In recent days, Corona had returned to the spotlight, also thanks to the presentation of books dedicated to the media events surrounding rapper Fedez, a sign of a professional activity that, despite his health conditions, continues unabated.

I read the article and it seems to me that Fabrizio Corona's situation is very complicated. It's strange to hear someone talk about illness this way, especially someone who has always been strong. I hope he recovers soon.
