Marcianise – 34-year-old DL was arrested. The chaos ended in the parking lot of the Anastasia Guerriero hospital in Marcianise. The convicted felon was taken to prison for escape, resisting a public official, and assault.
The simulation of suicide
It all started early in the morning, in the working-class neighborhood of Via Starza in Maddaloni. DL, already under house arrest for robbery, resisting arrest, drug dealing, and illegal possession of firearms committed last year at a shopping center in Poggiomarino, staged a suicide attempt in his home.
The man suffered several cuts to his arms and said he had ingested a large amount of drugs, claiming he was “near death.”
Alarmed by the commotion, neighbors immediately called the Carabinieri and 118. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, initially finding the apartment door locked. Only after lengthy negotiations did DL allow paramedics to enter. After being examined and sedated, he was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the Moscati Hospital in Aversa.
The "fake" illness in the hospital
During the trip, his condition suddenly deteriorated, and it was decided to stop at the emergency room of the Anastasia Guerriero hospital in Marcianise. Once in the clinic, tests quickly ruled out the possibility of a real illness. DL's life was not in danger, and tests revealed no significant traces of drugs.
At that point, he succumbed to madness: the man went berserk, threatening the nurses and attacking the doctor on duty. He grabbed him by the hair and slapped him, forcing the doctor to barricade himself in an office for safety.
The escape and the fight with the police
Taking advantage of the chaos, DL attempted to escape the hospital. He managed to escape from the clinic and vanished for a few minutes, disappearing without a trace and disposing of the electronic bracelet he had been given for house arrest. Officers from the Marcianise police station, alerted to the situation, immediately surrounded the hospital and sealed off the building.
The suspect was intercepted as he attempted to leave the parking lot. Upon seeing the police, he reacted with death threats and violent resistance. After a struggle, he was subdued and handcuffed. First taken to the police station, he was then transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he is currently being held pending preliminary hearing before Public Prosecutor Armando Bosso.

This article is very confusing, and it seems like there are many details that aren't entirely clear. The situation is serious, but I don't understand why the man did all this. Perhaps he's ill? I hope the authorities will clarify the situation.
