Moments of fear in the night at Forio of Ischia, where an 82-year-old man was the victim of a robbery inside his home. The elderly man was awakened by loud noises coming from the front door and, suspicious, got up to investigate. Once inside, however, he found himself confronted by a man with a masked face.
The robber, after shoving him, locked the 82-year-old in a room, preventing him from responding. He then ransacked the apartment, stealing gold and jewelry, before quickly fleeing. The victim's son discovered what had happened, finding his father still in shock and immediately raising the alarm.

Investigations are underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the episode and trace the identity of the person responsible, while increasing attention is being paid to the issue of safety, especially for elderly people living alone.
