Caserta – A seizure of over one million euros has been ordered against the assets of Michele Maravita, 39, a businessman and son-in-law of crime boss Antonio Della Ventura, a longtime member of the Belforte clan of Marcianise, currently incarcerated under the 41 bis regime. The order was executed by the State Police - Anti-Crime Division of the Caserta Police Headquarters, on the orders of the Preventive Measures Section of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
The final sentence and the profile of the entrepreneur
Maravita was definitively convicted by the Naples Court of Appeal for criminal conspiracy to aid and abet illegal immigration. This was considered a socially dangerous situation, especially given his family ties to the top brass of the Belforte clan, which led to the activation of asset-related preventive measures.
Luxury grill and seized goods
Among the seized assets is a well-known grill restaurant in Valle di Maddaloni, in the Caserta area, a popular venue frequented by celebrities, including Napoli footballers. In addition to the restaurant business, the seizures also included financial and banking accounts, vehicles, and a boat. The confiscation order confirms the seizure already carried out on February 22, 2024, at the request of the Caserta Police Chief.
Ibiza restaurant discovered after seizure
During further investigations following the first seizure, investigators from the Anti-Crime Division, headed by Mario Grassia, identified another asset linked to Maravita: a restaurant on the Spanish island of Ibiza. The seizure order issued by the Sammarinese court was forwarded to the Spanish authorities via Eurojust, who executed it abroad.
Special surveillance for three years
In addition to the confiscation of assets, the 39-year-old was also placed under special surveillance, requiring him to reside in his municipality of residence for three years. This represents a further step in the fight against assets deemed to be the result of illicit activities or otherwise disproportionate to declared income.

This article is very interesting but I noticed that there are some errors in the text, such as the seizure date which says February 2024 when we are in 2023. I hope this aspect will be clarified in the future.
