Grazzanise – Yesterday afternoon, February 21, in Grazzanise, Carabinieri officers from the local station reported a 45-year-old Romanian man, resident in the city, at large as part of extraordinary checks conducted to combat environmental crimes in the so-called "Land of Fires."
According to the police findings, the man will be charged with unauthorized transportation of special waste, including hazardous waste. During their service, the Carabinieri stopped and inspected a Piaggio Ape car, which was being used to transport various types of waste without the required permits.
Various materials were found inside the vehicle, including mechanical parts soaked in used oil and diesel fuel, classified as hazardous waste. Following the investigation, both the vehicle and the transported material were seized.

The article mentioned a man who was reported to the Carabinieri, but I don't understand why waste is always such a big problem. Perhaps more controls were needed in other areas to prevent similar situations.
