The musical summer of 2026 is tinged with nostalgia and glam rock. Duran Duran, One Direction of the British new wave that dominated the global charts for over four decades, have officially announced their return to Italy with three exclusive dates.
The band led by Simon Le Bon will bring their electronic sound and timeless melodies to three of Italy's most evocative heritage sites: the Verona Arena, the Royal Palace of Caserta, and Villa Manin in Codroipo.
The Italian tour will kick off on July 7, 2026, at the famous Verona amphitheater, before moving on July 9 to the majestic Piazza Carlo di Borbone in front of the Royal Palace of Caserta, the only stop in central and southern Italy. The triptych will conclude on July 11 at Villa Manin, an architectural jewel in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Years after their last performances in the country, John Taylor (bass), Nick Rhodes (keyboards), and Roger Taylor (drums), along with frontman Le Bon, are preparing to revisit a repertoire that has shaped music history. Songs like "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Ordinary World," "The Reflex," and "A View to a Kill" are expected to transform these historic sites into enormous open-air dance floors.
Details and organization
The Italian concerts, produced by D'Alessandro and Galli, represent a unique experience on the international live scene, combining the power of a legendary band with venues of unparalleled artistic value.
For fans, the rush for tickets will begin soon. A double presale window is planned:
February 18th and 19th: Advance ticket sales are available for D'Alessandro and Galli newsletter subscribers and R101 users (activation on the radio station's website).

The Royal Palace in celebration
The Caserta date is part of the packed lineup of the Un'Estate da Belvedere – Reggia Session festival, now in its eleventh year. Organized by Massimo Vecchione for LWR and Ventidieci, Duran Duran's date will add to an already packed lineup that will feature artists such as Gigi D'Alessio (ten dates), Modà, Alessandro Siani, Negramaro, Fiorella Mannoia, Il Volo, and Claudio Baglioni on the Piazza Carlo di Borbone stage, in a schedule that will run from June to September.

Yes, but let's not forget other musical genres that can be interesting to audiences. Each artist has their own value and brings different emotions to listeners.
Yes, I agree with you, Angela, but not all bands have the same appeal. Duran Duran made music history and therefore rightly attract a lot of people and interest.
This is very interesting news, but I think there are many bands that deserve as much attention as Duran Duran. I hope there are good attendances for the concerts that will take place.
