CASTELLAMMARE DI STABIA – Music returns to fill the Parish of Carmine with one of the most anticipated events of the Stabia winter. On Saturday, February 21st, starting at 8:00 PM, Cat Girace & The Social Guitar Project will take the stage again for the benefit concert "IMAGINE," a free evening combining entertainment and social commitment.
After last year's intimate, unplugged edition, the project is revamping and relaunching with a more modern sound. "This year we're pulling the plug" is the message accompanying the event, with arrangements inspired by the energy of Tiny Desk-style live formats, combining simplicity and expressive power.
Giacomo D'Elia and Marina Rocco will lead the audience on this musical journey. The repertoire will span different eras and genres, from international rock to Italian pop, with a special focus on classical guitar, a hallmark of the project since its inception.
Among the most significant new features of this edition is the participation of the "Insieme è Forte" choir, founded within the Parish of Carmine. This inclusive experience engages children and young people in a journey of growth through singing and sharing. The musical arrangement is by maestro Danilo De Riso, with coordination by Serena Ciriello, Mario De Riso, and Consolata Coppola.
The entire evening will be dedicated to charitable causes. Proceeds from the raffle organized during the concert will go to initiatives promoted by the parish priest, Don Luigi Milano, including the Solidarity Lunch held every Sunday in the parish's new dining hall. This project has been a tangible source of inspiration for many local families in recent years.
Founded in 2009 by Cat Girace, the Social Guitar Project has engaged over a thousand people, transforming the guitar into a tool for unity and support. Over time, it has supported charitable initiatives in Africa, Albania, and Castellammare di Stabia, also participating in social awareness campaigns. In 2013, the group graced the stage of Italia's Got Talent, bringing the power of a grassroots idea to television.
On Saturday evening, more than sixty guitarists will take the stage, joined by a band of expert musicians and an ever-evolving team of vocalists. "IMAGINE" will be more than just a concert, but a moment of community, sharing, and concrete participation for the Castellammare di Stabia area.

It's a very interesting event, but I'm not sure if I can go. Music has always been an important part of community life, and we hope many people will attend. Charity is always a good reason.
