Naples – Firefighters have completely extinguished the flames that devastated the Sannazaro Theater in Naples and secured the entire area. This was announced by the Rescue Coordination Center, which met on the morning of Friday, February 20, at the Prefecture upon the call of Prefect Michele di Bari to review the operations initiated following the blaze.
Traffic on Via Chiaia has been restored, and business owners have been given permission to return to their properties. Religious services will also resume as normal at the Church of Santa Maria della Mercede, a structure not affected by the fire.
Not everything, however, has returned to normal. Access to some properties remains restricted: some are awaiting structural inspections by technicians, while others have been seized by judicial authorities. Law enforcement and local police are patrolling the area in 24-hour shifts to prevent looting.

The situation at the Sannazaro Theater is very difficult, but I'm glad the firefighters intervened. We hope the structural checks will be completed very soon to ensure everyone's safety.
