Lorenzo Insigne is returning home. Fourteen years after his last experience with the white and blues, the striker presented himself to Pescara at an official press conference at the Ekk Hotel, attended by president Daniele Sebastiani and sporting director Pasquale Foggia.

A long-awaited return, dreamed of by the fans and planned together with the club, with an experience intertwined with emotions, promises, and a few regrets.

During the press conference, Insigne spoke with his trademark sincerity and directness. "I had other offers," he said, "but I promised the president I'd only play for Pescara in Serie B. Napoli? There was some contact; I said I'd play for them even for free. But then nothing came of it."

A statement that leaves the door open to regret, but doesn't dampen the player's fire. "I'm fine, I'm training with the team and I have a personalized schedule," Insigne added. "I also wanted to play a few minutes against Mantua.

I hope I get to play a bit of the game in Cesena." The desire to return to the pitch is strong, as is the awareness of the team's delicate moment.

“I believe in survival, and we all want to give this gift to the fans,” emphasized the striker, who presents himself as the leader of a project built around faith and continuity.

A project that also involves a historic name: Zdeněk Zeman. "I spoke to Zeman, he was happy with my return to Pescara and said 'let me have fun,'" Insigne said, with emotion in his voice. "He was like a second father to me."

All eyes are on the upcoming matches, with Cesena scheduled for a few days. Insigne, ready to fight for every ball, wants to turn his return to Pescara into another story of passion, sacrifice, and pride.
