MILAN – When it comes to referees, Inter never misses an opportunity to reopen the book of regrets. And so Giuseppe Marotta, upon his arrival in the Lega Calcio, once again brought up the Scudetto loss last season, attributing part of the blame to an alleged refereeing error.

"This is a class of referees that existed last year, there was a referee designator, we Inter lost the Scudetto by one point and during Inter-Roma a sensational penalty was awarded in our favor, which could have determined the final outcome of the championship, we stuck to the decisions that were made.", says the Nerazzurri president.

Marotta also insists on the most recent episodes. This year, personally, Inter and I have only intervened on one occasion, against Naples, when a penalty was awarded that, in my opinion, set the tone for the match differently than Saturday's. A penalty that was later analyzed by the relevant authorities and declared definitely unfair., remember.

Commenting on referees is always difficult, because whenever football is discussed, everyone has their own opinion. Marotta is right on some points, but other incidents have also been discussed by experts.
