The Carabinieri continue to conduct relentless checks on the main roads in the province of Naples to prevent and suppress robberies. This activity has led to an arrest in the Mugnano di Napoli area in the last few hours.
Caught driving outside the area
Officers from the Marano Company's Mobile Radio Section, during a dedicated operation, observed a suspicious vehicle near the External Ring Road. The driver was identified as Antonio Liguoro, a 26-year-old resident of Melito. The man, who already had a criminal record, was under special surveillance with a mandatory stay-at-home order, which prohibited him from leaving his municipality of residence.
In a car with two criminals
The 26-year-old was not alone in the vehicle. Two other people, both with criminal records, were traveling with him. His presence in the company of individuals known to law enforcement further aggravated his situation.
House arrest begins
Following the investigation, Antonio Liguoro was arrested for violating the provisions of special surveillance. By order of the Judicial Authority, the man was placed under house arrest pending trial.

The article about Carabinieri checks in Naples is very interesting because it highlights the security issues. It's right that something be done about robberies and crime in general, but it's unclear if it's enough.
