The charges: kidnapping for extortion, aggravated robbery, and serious assault. The operation began near Naples Central Station, during the "Stazioni Sicure" (Safe Stations) operation.

The victim asks for help amidst blood and terror

Officers from the Crime Prevention Unit and the Flying Squad's Hawks, engaged in territorial patrols, responded to the victim's report. The man, clearly agitated and with copious blood coming from his nose, approached the officers and explained the attack: the two criminals had robbed him of his cell phone, then forced him, using threats of a punch, to follow them and make payments using his cards in exchange for his freedom.

Hunt and immediate arrest

Thanks to the victim's descriptions, officers identified the two suspects. Upon seeing the police, the robbers attempted to split up and escape, but were caught and stopped. They were found with the stolen cell phones. Taken to Poggioreale prison pending validation, both men have appointed Massimo Viscusi, the lawyer.

I hope this incident brings greater safety on the streets. We can't continue to live in fear; the authorities must do more to protect citizens.

Yes, it's truly sad to see people doing these things. But I don't know if arresting them will be enough; we also need to educate people not to resort to violence.

Yesterday's news of the robbery and the arrest of these two young men is deeply troubling. It's incredible how violence can be used to obtain money or possessions. We hope justice takes its course.
