Naples – Among the many messages of condolence and closeness to little Domenico's family are those from the Basic Taxi Drivers Committee and the entire Neapolitan Taxi Drivers category, who "express their deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to little Domenico's family for his tragic passing."
The Association of Italian Journalists also joined them in a statement, writing: "A prayer for little Domenico and a heartfelt thought for his mother, who must endure a pain no one should have to experience. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her, as well as to the mother of the child who donated her heart: in the most dramatic moment, she performed an act of extraordinary altruism."

"In this moment of grief," the statement continues, "we choose to be there, with humanity and a sense of duty. The Association of Italian Women Journalists expresses its condolences and appeals to the institutions to ensure full clarity on this case and that this child's suffering is not in vain."
