The Naples supervisory magistrate has granted house arrest to Patrizio Bosti Jr., granting the request submitted by his lawyers, Domenico Dello Iacono and Elisabetta Valentino. The decision comes just weeks after he was sentenced to two years in prison, with the exclusion of the aggravating circumstance of mafia involvement.
The case: escape from house arrest and phones in prison
Bosti Jr. had been at the center of judicial scrutiny for charges of escaping house arrest and possessing cell phones in prison. The legal case was intertwined with other incidents that have seen him appear in the news several times in recent years.
Sentences reduced compared to the prosecutor's request
Despite the prosecutor's request for a six-year prison sentence, Bosti Jr. received a more lenient sentence. In the same proceedings, Giorgio Marasco was given a sentence of one year and four months. Salvatore Motto, identified as the person who facilitated Bosti Jr.'s fugitive status, received an eight-month sentence.
TikTok videos and the Flying Squad's investigations
According to the reconstruction of the men of the Flying Squad, in March and November 2023, while he was detained in the Poggioreale prison, Bosti junior allegedly posted videos on TikTok in which he extolled his criminal affiliation.
Arrested and sentenced in the first instance with house arrest, the young man allegedly evaded the measure by going into hiding. According to investigators, Marasco made the same decision, later tracked down and apprehended in Forcella by the "Falchi" (Falcons) of the Police Headquarters' Flying Squad.
The attack on the “Cala la Pasta” restaurant and the Argentine tourists
Bosti Jr. and Marasco are implicated in the notorious attack on two Argentine tourists at the "Cala la Pasta" restaurant. The incident, which occurred in May 2022, reportedly occurred after the tourists, sitting at a table in the restaurant, were struck by a motorcycle traveling at high speed.
At that point, the owner's wife, who was outside, was also hit. According to the reconstruction, Bosti Jr. intervened in the aftermath of the incident, initiating the attack.

I don't understand why the magistrate decided to grant house arrest to Bosti Jr. It's strange how someone who has already committed crimes can receive such a light sentence, especially with the charges he faces.
