Naples – The fight against drug dealing in the Vasto neighborhood continues. Yesterday evening, State Police officers arrested a 52-year-old Neapolitan woman, already known to law enforcement for specific criminal convictions, who was caught red-handed while selling narcotics.
The blitz in Via Firenze
The operation was triggered during territorial patrols organized by the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station. While patrolling Via Firenze, officers noticed a suspicious movement: the woman was seen receiving money from a man in exchange for some small packages.
Sensing an illicit exchange, the officers intervened quickly to stop the operation. The raid allowed them to apprehend both individuals before they could escape into the neighborhood streets.
Following the search, the 52-year-old was found in possession of €110 in cash, divided into small bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The buyer, however, was found in possession of four recently purchased bundles of cocaine.
The woman was immediately arrested and charged with unlawful possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. The buyer, however, was given the administrative penalty for possession of drugs for personal use.

The article talks about a police operation in the Vasto neighborhood where a woman was arrested. But I wonder if there are other solutions to combat drug dealing and help people in need without getting arrested.
