Naples – A routine evening of madness near the Central Station ended with the arrest of two young men, 27 years old, originally from Naples and Caserta. The charges are extremely serious: kidnapping for ransom, aggravated robbery, and serious assault. A mix of old-fashioned violence and new criminal methods involving credit cards.
The ambush and the blood
It all began in the heart of Piazza Garibaldi. The victim was approached by two criminals who, with extreme brutality, struck him in the face, causing a deep wound to his nose.
After stealing his cell phone, the robbers didn't stop there: armed with an awl, they forced the man to follow them. Their goal was clear: to use the victim's credit cards to make purchases and payments, turning a street robbery into a full-blown kidnapping.
The intervention of the "Hawks"
The turning point came thanks to the victim's quick thinking, who, taking advantage of a moment of distraction from her tormentors, managed to call for help from the officers working on the "Safe Stations" service. The officers from the Crime Prevention Unit and the "Falchi" (Hawks) of the Flying Squad, attracted by the agitated state of the blood-covered man, quickly gathered descriptions of the fugitives.
The chase and the arrest
The two 27-year-olds, both with police records, attempted a desperate escape in opposite directions as soon as they spotted the uniforms. The officers' pincer maneuver, however, thwarted every attempt to escape: the two were apprehended and found still in possession of the smartphone stolen shortly before. The two accomplices were sent to prison, while the victim was treated for injuries sustained during the attack.

I agree with you, Edvige06, but it's not just a question of safety; education also plays an important role. We must work for a better future, to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
This fact is truly disturbing and makes us think about how violence is increasing in our cities. People are afraid to leave their homes, especially at night. We need more security.
