Two minors were shot overnight in Naples' eastern suburbs. The incident occurred in San Giovanni a Teduccio, near the Ponte dei Francesi bridge, an area already plagued by tensions and nighttime violence. Police are reconstructing the incident and assessing the credibility of the boys' version of events.
The alarm from the emergency room
Officers responded to a report from paramedics at the Ospedale del Mare emergency room, where the two young men arrived with gunshot wounds: one to the leg, the other to the arm. Their conditions are not serious; their lives are not thought to be in danger.
The boys' story: "They shot from the other car."
According to police reports, the two were in a car with a friend when an argument broke out with the occupants of another vehicle. At that point, according to their account, several shots were fired from the opposing car, striking them in the limbs.
Investigations and cameras: the version under consideration
The circumstances remain unclear. Investigators are acquiring and analyzing public and private surveillance video footage from the area identified as the scene of the shooting to verify the vehicles' routes, times, and the possible presence of other vehicles or witnesses.
The alternative hypothesis: a possible clash between groups of young people
It cannot be ruled out that the wounding may have occurred in a different context than the one described, such as an incident involving youth groups or a clash between juvenile gangs. This possibility is also being explored, while the collection of evidence useful for identifying the shooter continues.

It seems confusing to me; the boys were injured by gunshots, the cause of which is perhaps unclear. The police should verify the videos and rumors, but no one knows. More prevention is needed in the eastern areas and stricter controls to avoid further accidents.
