The grief over the death of Martina Carbonaro, the 14-year-old brutally stoned to death on May 26, 2025, in Afragola, continues. In the last few hours, the victim's family has had to confront a new, disturbing front: online condoning of the crime.
On a popular local Facebook group, "You're from Afragola if...", a comment appeared openly praising the killer: "Justice has been served, honor to the boy! Who knows what she put him through to bring him to this point." The message, accompanied by six emoticons, was immediately reported to investigators.
The reaction of the family and the administrators
Martina's family, assisted by lawyer Sergio Pisani, have filed a formal report with law enforcement so that the author of the post can be identified and punished.
The administrator of the social media community also actively collaborated, forwarding the report to the Afragola Carabinieri. Defending the memory of the very young victim thus becomes a legal battle against secondary victimization and incitement to violence.
Investigation closed: aggravated voluntary homicide
In parallel with the social media scandal, justice is taking its course. The North Naples Prosecutor's Office has officially issued a notice of closure of the preliminary investigation. Alessio Tucci, the victim's nineteen-year-old ex-boyfriend and a self-confessed criminal, remains the main accused.
Investigators are charging him with voluntary homicide with several aggravating circumstances, consolidating a body of evidence that points to the utmost severity for this brutal crime committed in the countryside outside Naples.
