The operation was carried out by officers from the San Giovanni Barra Police Station, engaged in territorial control services, after the Operations Room received a report of a man in a highly agitated state outside his ex-partner's home.
Upon arriving immediately, officers located the 41-year-old man, who, noticing their presence, attempted to flee in an attempt to evade detection. His escape, however, lasted only a few moments: the man was caught and apprehended by officers.
According to the woman's account to the officers, shortly beforehand, her ex-partner had attempted to break into the home, repeatedly kicking and punching the door and making serious threats. According to the victim, this behavior had occurred on other occasions.
Based on the evidence gathered on site, the man was arrested by the responding personnel on charges of stalking.
