Naples – A frightening scene occurred last night in the Piscinola neighborhood, on Via Osci. Carabinieri from the PMZ station responded to a report of gunfire. According to the reconstruction, two individuals riding a scooter, who have not yet been identified, first pointed a gun—likely loaded with blanks—at a 39-year-old man who was walking, before firing a shot into the air.
The incident, clearly intended to intimidate, resulted in no injuries. In addition to the Carabinieri, a local police patrol also responded to the scene. The investigation, coordinated by the Carabinieri, is now aimed at clarifying the precise circumstances of the incident and, above all, the motive for the act.
Complicating the investigation is the absence of shell casings on the pavement, which were not found despite a thorough search of the area. The primary lead under investigation is a premeditated threat against the 39-year-old, possibly related to personal or neighborhood issues. The incident has raised concerns among residents of a generally quiet area of the city.

Yesterday's incident in Piscinola was very worrying. People no longer feel safe walking down the street. I hope the authorities will clarify what happened and find the culprits to prevent it from happening again.
