A roadside check resulted in a drug arrest in Pollena Trocchia, where State Police detained a 25-year-old Neapolitan man found in possession of several doses of narcotics and an object capable of causing harm. The operation began yesterday afternoon, when the Flying Squad's Falcons, engaged in targeted anti-drug operations, spotted a suspicious car on Via Stefano Trinchera.
During the vehicle search, officers found the man with 24 bags of marijuana, weighing approximately 100 grams, and five bars of hashish, weighing approximately 8 grams. He also had a telescopic truncheon and €1.220 in cash, divided into bills of various denominations, deemed consistent with retail drug dealing.
Based on the evidence gathered, the police extended their search to the young man's home. There, they found a replica pistol without its red cap, 43 blank cartridges, and various materials used to package the doses. All the material was seized.
The 25-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics, and charged with possession of weapons or objects capable of causing harm for the possession of the truncheon and the replica pistol. The operation is part of territorial control operations aimed at combating drug trafficking and the spread of drugs in the Vesuvian area.
