In the area between Pomigliano d'Arco and Brusciano, Carabinieri officers from the Castello di Cisterna Company deployed an extraordinary patrol, significantly impacting local security. During the nighttime operation, officers identified 90 people and searched 47 vehicles, as well as finding pistols, magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition inside a parked car.
The car with the weapons in the "popular" area
The operation led to the discovery of two pistols with erased serial numbers, two magazines, and 402 rounds of ammunition found inside a vehicle parked in the popular area of Brusciano. The weapons were seized and will be subjected to ballistic tests to determine whether they were used in crimes or other criminal incidents. The discovery demonstrates the presence of heavy equipment in the area, posing a clear risk to public order.
Drug dealer arrested with 250 grams of drugs
During the checks, the Carabinieri also arrested a 51-year-old man already known to law enforcement, who was suspected of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Approximately 250 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine were seized from his home in Brusciano. The officers seized the material, and the man was taken to custody for judicial review.

This is worrying news, but without exaggeration, the checks are necessary. The Carabinieri have identified 90 people and searched many vehicles. They found weapons in a parked car, which, as always, is frightening. Citizens are demanding more security and assistance, but more social prevention and youth programs are also needed, and law enforcement should be more closely involved with the community.
