Naples – "I didn't want to kill my sister, but she had the music playing loudly, and I wanted to sleep." With these words, Giuseppe Musella, 28, confessed to the murder of his sister Jlenia Musella, 22, which occurred yesterday afternoon in Naples.

The young man disappeared immediately after the crime, disappearing without a trace. However, during the night he voluntarily presented himself at the police station, where he was stopped and arrested by the police.

The crime at home after an argument

According to investigators' reconstruction, an argument broke out between the two brothers that escalated into tragedy. During the confrontation, Giuseppe Musella allegedly stabbed his sister in the back. The stab proved fatal: the young woman was rushed by private car to Villa Betania Hospital, but there was nothing that could be done for her.

The family context and the Conocal district

Jlenia and Giuseppe Musella lived in the Conocal public housing district, in the Ponticelli neighborhood, on the eastern outskirts of Naples. The family situation appears complex: the mother of the two young people is currently under house arrest, albeit in another residence. Their father, Ciro Musella, known as "Ciro Ciro," is in prison and is considered a leading member of the Casella clan.

Links with the Camorra

The Musella family appears to be related to Antonio Circone, a long-time Camorra boss and former head of the Casella-Circone syndicate, which controlled drug dealing in the Conocal neighborhood for years. Links also emerge with the D'Amico Camorra family, historically at odds with the De Micco-De Martino clan, a feud that has bloodied the area for years.

The investigation into the murder of Jlenia Musella was conducted by the Naples Flying Squad. The case was entrusted to Public Prosecutor Ciro Capasso, who is coordinating the investigation to clarify every aspect of the case, from the motive to the exact circumstances of the attack.

It's a very sad and difficult situation to understand, especially for those living in such complex circumstances as this family's. We hope the investigation will clarify the facts and bring some measure of justice.
