Naples – A 55-year-old man from Naples was arrested last night in Ponticelli during a local patrol by officers from the Ponticelli Police Station for illegal possession of narcotics. The man had several prior convictions.
The escape attempt in a space under the stairs
Around yesterday evening, officers on duty on Via Manlio Rossi Doria noticed a man who, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to quickly run away, hoping to avoid being stopped. The 55-year-old, after attempting to escape, ducked into a basement area seeking shelter.
Suspicious of the man's suspicious behavior, the officers approached him and subjected him to a check.
Drugs hidden in small packages
During the search, officers found on the 55-year-old man 11 packages containing crack cocaine, weighing a total of approximately 2,2 grams, and three packages of cocaine, each weighing approximately 1,1 grams. Additionally, officers found approximately €60 in various denominations of banknotes on the man, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
For these reasons, the 55-year-old was arrested by the responding police and held at the Ponticelli Police Station. He is charged with unlawful possession of narcotics in conjunction with the crime of dealing, with the aggravating circumstance of commission of the act for payment.

Reading this article, I realized that the drug problem is very serious in some areas. We hope the authorities can do more to prevent similar situations in the future.
I don't know if the police operation was effective, because there are often problems with the law. I wonder if there will be consequences for the man and if the drugs were intended for anyone specific.
The article is very interesting, but there are many errors in the details, such as the description of the arrest. It would be helpful to clarify the precise reasons for the arrest and whether he had a lawyer.
