Pozzuoli – An attempted robbery ended in nothing this morning in Pozzuoli. Shortly before 4:00 a.m., a car, likely stolen and used as a battering ram, was rammed through the doors of the Unicredit branch in Piazza Capomazza in an attempted robbery.
The criminals' plan, clearly designed to operate in the silence of the early hours, involved breaking down the entrance and taking away the entire cash dispenser (ATM) to then empty it elsewhere.
However, the operation was interrupted without the theft being completed, perhaps due to technical problems or the alarm being triggered.
The Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli Company responded immediately, alerted by the security systems. Upon arrival, they found the front door torn off, the car abandoned, and the ATM, which the thieves had failed to remove, still in place.
The area was immediately cordoned off and thoroughly inspected to gather any evidence, such as surveillance camera footage or biological traces. The investigation, coordinated by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office, is now focused on reconstructing the exact sequence of events and identifying the perpetrators, who are still unknown and on the run.

This article is very interesting, but there are many things that aren't clear. Why was the car stolen? And why weren't the thieves able to steal the ATM? There should have been more security measures.
