Qualiano - Half an hour after 3:00 PM, in the Qualiano area, Carabinieri officers from the Giugliano Mobile Radio Unit ordered a car carrying Francesco Di Natale, 28, a resident of Parco Verde in Caivano, to stop. However, the driver did not stop and sped off.

The escape on the External Ring Road

According to the reconstruction, the man drove the wrong way onto the outer ring road, sparking a chase that lasted approximately 20 kilometers. Traffic was heavy on the road at that time, forcing drivers to make sudden stops and perform emergency maneuvers while officers attempted to avoid collisions and safely stop the vehicle.

Drug stop and recovery

The car was eventually stopped without harm to other road users. Along the way, the Carabinieri also recovered a package that the 28-year-old had apparently discarded during his escape: inside, 59 doses of cocaine, believed to be intended for sale.

The charges and the prison

Di Natale was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and resisting arrest. After the usual formalities, he was transferred to prison.
