Sant'Arpino– A lightning-fast robbery at dawn at a gas station: a 27-year-old from Sant'Antimo, already known to law enforcement, was arrested by Carabinieri officers from the local station almost red-handed for aggravated armed robbery.
The 6:30 Heist
The incident occurred yesterday morning, February 18, around 6:30 a.m. The young man, arriving in a black Fiat Punto, broke into the "Gestione Oil SpA" service station (IP gas station) on Via Martiri Atellani. Armed with a gun, he threatened the employee, forcing him to hand over the morning's takings, approximately €200.
Decisive video surveillance
Video surveillance footage and immediate witness testimony allowed the suspect to be quickly identified. The officers reconstructed the modus operandi: threats with an improper weapon, withdrawal of money, and immediate escape in the car.
Following a personal and home search, the Carabinieri seized the Fiat Punto used in the getaway and the clothing worn by the robber. The weapon has not yet been recovered. After the usual formalities, the arrested man was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he will be held by the Prosecutor's Office.

I don't understand why there are more and more robberies like this. It seems like there's no longer any respect for the law. We absolutely need to increase the police presence in high-risk areas.
It's truly worrying to see young people involved in such violent crimes. Institutions need to work harder to educate young people and keep them away from such situations.
This is a very serious incident and raises concerns about how safety on our streets is becoming an increasingly important priority. I hope the authorities take effective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
