The alarm has been raised since February 18th
The search for Luciano Capasso, 25, originally from Qualiano (province of Naples) and resident in St. Moritz, where he works at the Badrutt's Palace Hotel, is still ongoing in Switzerland. He has been missing since Tuesday, February 18.
The excursion and the failure to return
According to Qualiano Mayor Raffaele de Leonardis, Capasso had taken a few hours to relax on a day off from work. A mountaineering enthusiast, he apparently went on a snowshoe hike and never returned.
Weather-dependent searches
"The search is ongoing but has been suspended at the moment due to adverse weather conditions," de Leonardis wrote, explaining that the Municipality is following the developments of the case and is offering support to the family during this time of concern.
Contacts with the Farnesina and law enforcement agencies
The mayor announced that he is in constant contact with the Foreign Ministry and that, together with the Carabinieri of Qualiano, the administration is assisting the family, urging anyone with information to contact the relevant authorities immediately.
