San Nicola la Strada - The operation began yesterday evening, February 10, when the Carabinieri of the San Nicola la Strada station raided the home of a 38-year-old local man.

What was supposed to be a routine check turned into a thorough search that uncovered a veritable drug stash within the home. The man, already under investigation by investigators, is charged with illegal possession of narcotics.

Drugs in sanitary ware and among toys

The most disconcerting information emerged during the search concerned the hiding places chosen by the 38-year-old to evade detection. The Carabinieri officers found a total of over 42 grams of crack cocaine and a dose of cocaine.

While some of the drugs had been hidden in typical locations, such as the sink trap and the shower filter, to allow for quick disposal in the event of a break-in, another portion was found inside the youngest daughter's handbag, which she was unwittingly using as a shield for drug dealing.

The kidnapping and arrest

In addition to the drugs, the Carabinieri seized a precision scale and all the material needed to package the doses, elements that confirm the commercial destination of the substance.

Given the evidence gathered, the 38-year-old was placed under arrest. After the usual formalities at the police station, the man was escorted to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remains at the disposal of the competent judicial authorities.

I don't understand how someone could hide drugs in their daughter's toys. The situation is unbelievable and worrying. I hope the authorities do their duty to stop this behavior.
