Santa Maria a Vico – A 35-year-old local man was reported at large by the Carabinieri of the Santa Maria a Vico station on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics. The operation dates back to yesterday afternoon, February 26th, when the man—already known to law enforcement—was stopped during a roadside check for suspicious behavior.
The positive personal search prompted the police to extend their investigation to the suspect's home, which resides in the city.
Drugs and packaging materials
Inside the building, the Carabinieri found a sealed cellophane package containing 13,14 grams of cocaine. They also seized two precision scales soaked in the drug, packaging materials, three handwritten sheets of paper with notes believed to be likely related to drug dealing, a cell phone, and €390 in cash in various denominations.
Seizure and counter-terrorism activities
The drugs and the material found were seized and taken into custody pending their filing with the competent crime evidence office.
The operation is part of the territorial control services set up by the Carabinieri to combat the spread and dealing of narcotics.

This is news that raises doubts, but without rushing to judgment: we need to wait for the facts to emerge, not make preconceived judgments. Maybe he was involved, maybe not; the Carabinieri have checked, but the truth must emerge calmly and legally, so the community can rebuild and move forward.
