Three strong earthquakes were recorded late yesterday evening and into the night in the Phlegraean Fields. All of the tremors were felt by residents of the Phlegraean Fields and many neighborhoods of Naples.

The Vesuvius Observatory issued a statement describing a seismic swarm of 11 tremors. The last one occurred last night at 12:24 a.m. and measured 2.0 magnitude. All were recorded in the areas of Cumae, Monterusciello, and Licola, where residents reported hearing a loud boom.

But the ones that most shook the population were the two shocks that occurred in close proximity at 23,12 pm, ten seconds apart, with magnitudes of 2.8 and 2.5. It had been days since the Campi Flegrei area had recorded seismic events felt by the population, even if the bradyseismic phenomenon and that of the ground uplift continue.

The article mentions earthquakes recorded in the Campi Flegrei, and I also heard a loud boom. I hope the situation improves soon for the safety of people and homes.
