Nocera Inferiore – A life cut short on the job: Carmine Albero, a 24-year-old from Sarno, died this morning in the yard of a trucking company on Via Fiano, in Nocera Inferiore. The young man, politically active as the founder of the Forza Italia youth movement in Sarno, was at work when he was fatally struck by a moving truck.

The dynamics of the accident
According to initial reports, Albero was in the yard of the transport and logistics company when he was struck by a truck while reversing. The impact was fatal: the 24-year-old had no escape.
Carabinieri officers from the Nocera Inferiore Territorial Unit responded to the scene to investigate. The heavy vehicle was seized and company operations were suspended pending further investigation.

Investigators are verifying the young man's employment status and compliance with workplace safety regulations within the company. The co-worker who drove the truck that struck him is in shock: he was questioned at length and has been charged with manslaughter.
